DANCES WITH WOLVES takes its title from the iconic 1990 film, reinterpreting it through the language of movement and human interaction. Rather than depicting conflict, the painting explores coexistence—the delicate balance between instinct and control, individuality and the collective. The hybrid figures move as if engaged in an unspoken choreography, where every gesture responds to the presence of another.

As part of the Horizontal Maneuvers series, the work examines movement not only as physical action but as a way of navigating relationships, environments, and invisible social forces. Built from sculpted textiles and rendered through my signature airbrushed chiaroscuro, the composition transforms motion into a metaphor for adaptation. Here, dancing with wolves is not an act of survival, but of understanding—learning to move in harmony with the unpredictable forces that surround us.
